Alice Valcarenghi

Belly Dance & Polynesian Dance Instructor

Biography

Alice Valcarenghi is a dancer and instructor specializing in ethnic dance traditions, with a passion for sharing the cultural richness of movement from around the world.

She began dancing at a young age, studying Classical Ballet for over nine years. After a short break to focus on her studies, she discovered Belly Dance in 2010 at Harem Danza, under the direction of Daniela Belluati. This marked the beginning of a new artistic journey that soon became her greatest passion.

Over the years, Alice has expanded her training by studying a wide range of ethnic dance styles, including Bollywood Dance, Tribal Fusion, Hawaiian Hula, and Polynesian Dance, refining her skills through workshops and seminars with renowned Italian and international teachers.

In 2022, she was appointed Regional Coordinator for Lombardy and Veneto for the Kailani Polynesian Dance Project, promoting and preserving the culture and traditions of Polynesian dance. She is also the director of ASD Orientalya in Brescia, where she teaches various ethnic dance disciplines and encourages cultural exchange through movement.

Alice is also recognised as the first instructor in Italy to introduce Séga Mauricien as a regular dance course, helping to spread this vibrant traditional dance from the island of Mauritius.

At Rajawara Dance School, she teaches Beginner Belly Dance and Beginner Hawaiian Hula, continuing her mission to share the beauty, history, and traditions of ethnic dances with passion, professionalism, and dedication.
