Nathalie Rajawasala

Nathalie Rajawasala is a Kathak dancer, Bollywood instructor, choreographer, and the founder of Rajawara Dance School and Rajawara Dance Company.

Born in Negombo, Sri Lanka, on 9 November 1987, she has dedicated more than fifteen years to promoting Indian dance and culture across Italy and internationally. Specialising in Bollywood Dance and Kathak, Nathalie is a devoted disciple of Guru Pandit Anuj Mishra, with whom she continues her artistic training while regularly performing in India.

In 2014, she founded Rajawara Dance Company, a professional ensemble creating performances for theatres, festivals, corporate events, and cultural institutions. The company has collaborated with prestigious organisations including Incredible India, Air India, the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce, and the Embassy and Consulate of India in Italy.

In 2019, Nathalie won the title of Bollywood Dance World Champion, establishing herself on the international stage. She has also performed the leading role of Sita in a major Kathak theatrical production in India.

Today, Nathalie directs Rajawara Dance School in Milan, where she teaches Bollywood, Kathak, Fire Dance, and Silk Fan Dance. She is also the creator of the Bollywood Explosion Festival, organises cultural retreats and dance journeys through Rajawara Dance Travel, and continues to share the richness of Indian arts through classes, performances, workshops, and international events.
